An original Cape Karoo styled building which once housed the local Trading Store back in the late 1800's and now converted to a comfortable rustic Country Guesthouse with 6 shower en-suite bedrooms with private entrances, two of which open onto a large landscaped garden and four on to a vine covered courtyard. We have three double and three twin bedded rooms. There is a licensed Bar "McCavities" where guests can enjoy drinks before heading out to dinner at one of the Restaurants in town. Our Garden Cafe' is open for light meals and beverages.There is a guest lounge with a large open fire place for the chilly winter evenings, TV and various board games are available.There is also a Patanque (boulle) court where guests can enjoy a game.

The Guesthouse boasts large gardens where one can relax with a book and enjoy the karoo air. We also have an American Red Indian Medicine Wheel indigenouse garden.Nearby places to visit include The Warmwaterberg Hot Springs, The Labrynth and Peace Pagoda and the now famous Ronnies Sex Shop (Pub). There are a few hiking trails in the area varying in distance. Barrydale is situated at the foot of the Tradouws Pass where one can take a dip in natural rock pools and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.There are some fine Coffee Shoppes, Restaurants and interesting shops within walking distance from the guesthouse
